SMS Messaging Terms

Terms governing the SMS messages you receive from Second Line Services.

Effective Date: May 2, 2026
Scope: This document covers the SMS messaging program operated by Cornerstone Group LLC (doing business as Second Line Services) for missed-call follow-up. It governs the relationship between you (the recipient of an SMS message) and Cornerstone Group LLC. It does not cover the commercial agreement between Second Line Services and the participating home service businesses that use our platform — that relationship is governed by a separate Terms of Service.

By calling a participating business's phone number that forwards to Second Line Services, by exchanging SMS messages with a participating business through our service, or by otherwise receiving messages from this program, you agree to these terms.

Program Name and Description

This is the Second Line Services Missed-Call Follow-up Program, operated by Cornerstone Group LLC (doing business as Second Line Services) on behalf of participating HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other home service businesses. The program sends transactional SMS messages to callers whose calls to a participating business's published phone number were not answered and were forwarded to our infrastructure.

How the Service Works

When you call a participating business's published phone number and the call is unanswered, the call is forwarded to our infrastructure. We play an automated voice disclosure to you that names the participating business, acknowledges the missed call, states that a single follow-up text will be sent, and offers you the option to leave a voicemail. After the disclosure plays, we send a single SMS to your phone number asking whether you would like to continue the conversation by text. The message includes a clear instruction to reply YES to opt in or STOP to opt out. No further messages are sent unless you reply YES. After you reply YES, a small support team will help schedule service or respond to your inquiry on behalf of the business.

How to Opt In

You opt in to receive ongoing SMS messages from this program by replying YES to the initial opt-in message we send after a missed call. Your YES reply is captured, timestamped, and recorded as your affirmative consent to receive further messages related to your inquiry. If you do not reply YES, the conversation does not continue and no further messages are sent.

Message Frequency

Before you opt in, the system sends at most one SMS — the initial opt-in prompt. If you do not reply YES, no further messages are sent. After you opt in by replying YES, conversational follow-up continues for the duration of your active service request and is paced by the operator handling your inquiry. Total message volume varies based on your interaction with the participating business.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. SMS message charges are governed by your wireless carrier and the plan you have with that carrier. Second Line Services is not responsible for any charges incurred from your wireless carrier or other message providers.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of all SMS messaging at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After we receive a STOP reply, we will send a single confirmation ("You're opted out. Reply START to opt back in.") and will not send further SMS to your phone number across any participating business operating through our service. To resume receiving messages, reply START.

Help

For assistance, reply HELP to any message and our team will respond. You may also email us at hello@secondline.services for support.

Consent

Your consent to receive ongoing SMS messages is collected via a two-step opt-in. First, by remaining on the call after our automated voice disclosure begins, you acknowledge that a single follow-up text will be sent to your number and consent to the recording of any voicemail you choose to leave after the beep. Second, you provide affirmative consent to receive further SMS messages from this program by replying YES to that initial text. Your YES reply is captured and recorded as your opt-in. No further messages are sent unless you reply YES. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP.

Your Responsibilities

You agree that the phone number from which you contact a participating business is one you are authorized to use. By replying to our messages, you confirm that you are the recipient of the SMS or are otherwise authorized to act on behalf of the recipient.

No Guarantee of Service

Messaging services are provided as-is. We do not guarantee message delivery, response time, or scheduling outcomes. Service availability depends on your wireless carrier, the participating business's availability, and our service infrastructure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Second Line Services and its participating businesses are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from message delivery delays, missed messages, service interruptions, or scheduling outcomes. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Privacy

Information we collect through this messaging program is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the Effective Date above. Continued receipt of messages from this program after a terms update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
